Job Description
NEP Group Inc. is hiring a Senior Broadcast Engineer to support high-profile live sports broadcasting and outside broadcast (OB) operations across India and international locations.
This is a hands-on field engineering role requiring deep technical expertise in HD/UHD video systems, Broadcast IP (SMPTE ST 2110), routing & switching, RF systems, and live production workflows.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in live sports broadcasting, IP video infrastructure, Grass Valley & Sony systems, and advanced troubleshooting at system level.
Key Responsibilities
- Live Broadcast Engineering & Technical Operations
- Assist the Engineering Manager in managing daily broadcast engineering operations
- Set up, configure, operate, and maintain HD & UHD video systems
- Handle broadcast audio systems, communication systems, and RF equipment
- Configure and maintain antenna systems and RF transmission chains
- Perform system-level troubleshooting and coordinate with manufacturers for resolution
Equipment Expertise & Integration
- Work with leading broadcast equipment including:
- Grass Valley routing & switching systems
- Sony broadcast equipment
- EVS servers (EVS, X-File, X-Hub, IP Director)
- Routers, switchers, tally systems, multiviewers & comms systems
- Camera chains (Cameras, Lenses, CCUs)
- Professional broadcast audio mixers
- Assist in firmware & software upgrades as per manufacturer releases
- Required Skills & Technical Expertise
Experience - Minimum 5+ years in Live Sports Broadcasting
- Hands-on experience in Outside Broadcast (OB) environments
- Strong exposure to field engineering in broadcast production
Technical Skills
- Broadcast IP (SMPTE ST 2110 / ST 2110-31)
- Baseband routing & switching
- Cisco & Arista switch programming
- CCNA (Routing & Switching preferred)
- EVS networking & replay systems
- RF systems & antenna configuration
- Broadcast workflow design
- Audio routing & professional mixers
- Networking & IT systems knowledge
Skills Required
Broadcast IP (SMPTE ST 2110 / ST 2110-31). Baseband routing & switching . Cisco & Arista switch programming.
